Body type characteristics – called somatotypes

Ectomorph

  • Thin
  • Flat chest
  • Very little fat storage
  • Delicate build

  • Narrow in chest and shoulders

Mesomorph

  • Hard, muscular body
  • Large chest
  • Solid muscle structure
  • Rectangular shaped

Endomorph

  • Soft body
  • Underdeveloped muscle
  • Heavy fat storage
